Job Summary:
The Senior Accountant will be responsible for managing and overseeing daily accounting operations, preparing accurate financial reports, and ensuring full compliance with UAE accounting standards and tax laws. The role requires strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and the ability to support audits, budgeting, and financial planning.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage the company’s accounting records and ensure accuracy and completeness.
- Prepare and review financial statements, balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow reports.
- Handle VAT and Corporate Tax filings and ensure compliance with UAE Federal Tax Authority (FTA) regulations.
- Maintain general ledger and reconcile accounts regularly.
- Supervise junior accountants and ensure timely completion of accounting tasks.
- Support external and internal audit processes and prepare necessary documentation.
- Monitor accounts receivable and payable to ensure proper cash flow.
- Analyze financial data and provide recommendations for cost control and profit improvement.
- Assist management in budget preparation, forecasting, and financial planning.
- Ensure accounting policies and procedures are in line with IFRS and UAE regulations.
Qualifications & Skills:
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field CA/CPA/ACCA).
- Minimum 3–5 years of accounting experience in the UAE, preferably in an auditing or consulting firm.
- Strong knowledge of UAE Tax Law (VAT & Corporate Tax) and FTA procedures.
- Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., Zoho Books, QuickBooks, Tally, or similar).
- Excellent command of English; Arabic is an advantage.
- Strong analytical, organizational, and communication skills.
- High attention to detail and ability to meet deadlines under pressure.
