Job summary

Dubai Sports City is seeking an experienced Accountant with a hospitality industry background to join its finance team. The role focuses on daily accounting operations, reconciliations, and timely financial reporting to support business decisions.

You will manage accounts payable/receivable, assist with month-end close, ensure UAE VAT compliance, and collaborate across departments to maintain accurate records and standards.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance or related field.
• 2–3 years of relevant experience in accounting, preferably hospitality.
• Strong knowledge of accounting principles and procedures.
• Experience in invoicing, payment requests, receipts, and financial documents.
• Daily financial transactions, revenue reconciliation, month-end/year-end closing, UAE VAT requirements.
• Proficiency in MS 365, Excel and ERP/accounting systems.

Responsibilities

• Manage day-to-day accounting activities and maintain accurate financial records.
• Process financial transactions and prepare invoices, payment requests, receipts, and other financial documents.

The selected candidate will oversee financial transactions, prepare reconciliations, support month-end closing activities, and ensure compliance with company policies, accounting standards, and UAE tax regulations. The role requires strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and the ability to collaborate effectively across departments.

Key Responsibilities:

• Experience in preparing invoices, payment requests, receipts, and other financial documents.
• Good understanding of daily financial transactions, revenue reconciliation, month-end/year-end closing, and UAE VAT requirements.
• Proficiency in Microsoft 365, Microsoft Excel, and accounting/ERP systems.
• Experience with Micros and Concept is an advantage.
• Strong analytical, numerical, problem-solving, organizational, and communication skills.
