Job summary

A local meat retailer in Dubai is seeking an experienced accountant to manage daily accounting transactions, ensure VAT compliance, and support in month-end closing activities. The ideal candidate will have a degree in accounting and at least 3 years of experience in the field, preferably within the F&B industry. Current residency in Dubai is mandatory, and familiarity with SAP Business One is advantageous.

• Strong background in reconciliation and accounting entries.
• Must be currently based in Dubai.

Responsibilities

• Record and verify daily accounting transactions.
• Perform daily and monthly reconciliation of POS and bank statements.
• Assist in month-end closing, accruals, and financial statements.

Job description

Record and verify daily accounting transactions (sales, purchases, payments, and receipts).

Perform daily and monthly reconciliation of POS, aggregators, and bank statements.

Review supplier invoices and coordinate with purchasing and operations teams.

Prepare and process payment vouchers ensuring approvals and accuracy.

Assist in month-end closing, accruals, and financial statements.

Support the Chief Accountant in preparing reports and audits.

Ensure VAT compliance and assist in filing returns.

Maintain organized accounting records and proper documentation.

Skills

Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.

Minimum 3 years of accounting experience (F&B industry preferred).

Strong background in reconciliation and accounting entries.

Experience with SAP Business One or similar ERP is an advantage.

Proficiency in Excel and accounting principles.

Strong analytical and organizational skills.

Must be currently based in Dubai.
