The Role
- Handling invoices, petty cash, payments to suppliers through bank transfers and cheques.
- Reviewing bank statements, bank reconciliations and managing cash flows.
- Preparing monthly, quarterly and yearly financial statements and providing documentation required by auditors.
- Has knowledge in filing UAE VAT.
- Preparing and reviewing agreements (consignment, loan, production, etc.).
- Managing inventory of the gallery both physically and electronically using the database software.
- Working knowledge in preparing condition reports, delivery notes and insurance applications.
- Assisting in PRO activities with the company PRO: cancelling and renewing employee visas, company license registration and any other government requirements.
- Coordinating with all vendors and suppliers.
- Arranging travel tickets, hotels and assisting in sourcing materials needed by artists, guests or employees.
- Overall management of day to day operations, including but not limited to sourcing of office supplies, labor and other materials needed by the company as the need arises.
- Has in depth knowledge in UAE labor laws applicable to employee benefits calculations and all other HR duties.
Requirements
- B.Com Graduate, proficient with MS Office, particularly Excel (pivot, vlookup, charts, diagram, etc.).
- At least one year experience in accounting and finance.
- Mac User.
- Working knowledge in accounting systems such as QuickBooks or Peachtree.
- Art gallery or logistics experience is an advantage.
- Multi-tasker with strong analytical and decision-making skills.
- Can work under pressure with minimum supervision.
