Job summary

Confidential in Ajman is seeking a detail-oriented Accountant to join its Finance team. You will handle day-to-day accounting, manage accounts payable and receivable, prepare invoices, and support monthly closings while maintaining UAE VAT compliance.

The ideal candidate has 3–4 years of relevant experience in transportation or related sectors, strong Excel skills, and familiarity with UAE accounting standards and VAT practices.

Qualifications

• 3-4 years of relevant accounting experience.
• Experience in transportation, logistics, petroleum, or fleet-related businesses is an advantage.
• Strong knowledge of UAE accounting standards and VAT practices.

Responsibilities

• Handle day-to-day accounting transactions and maintain accurate books of accounts.
• Manage accounts receivable and accounts payable activities.
• Prepare customer invoices and monitor collections.
• Process supplier invoices, payments, and expense claims.
• Perform bank, customer, and supplier reconciliations.
• Maintain records of fleet, vehicle, fuel, and transportation-related expenses.
• Monitor trip-wise and customer-wise revenue and expenses.
• Support monthly closing activities and preparation of financial reports.
• Assist with UAE VAT compliance, VAT returns, and related documentation.
• Coordinate with operations and administration teams to collect financial data and supporting documents.
• Support the Finance Manager with budgeting, reporting, and other finance-related tasks.
