Job summary

Qualifications

• MLIS degree (ALA-accredited) required.
• Minimum of two years of relevant experience in academic libraries.
• Direct experience with cataloging, both print and electronic resources.
• Significant experience engaging with faculty and researchers.
• Experience supervising paraprofessionals in an academic library.

Responsibilities

• Cataloging print and electronic resources using AACR2, LCSH, LC, MARC21 and metadata standards.
• Provide reference assistance (in person and virtual).
• Manage deposit of outputs into the AUS institutional repository.
• Coordinate the Archives Specialist and Archives functions.
• Coordinate Copyright services, including rights management / course pack processes.
• Liaise with departments for collection development, instruction and outreach.
• Foster strong links with regional and international partners and disseminate best practices.
