Job summary

Actemium Sharjah, the UAE arm of Vasundhara Automation & Engineering Services under VINCI Energies, seeks an experienced Automation System Engineer to deliver ABB System 800xA, AC800M, SCADA/DCS, and Substation Automation projects from design through commissioning.

The role requires IEC 61850, industrial networking, cybersecurity, virtualization, and migration work, with opportunities to lead FAT/SAT, testing, and handover while ensuring reliability and lifecycle support.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Electrical, Instrumentation, or Electronics Engineering.
5–8 years in industrial automation, SCADA/DCS, or substation automation.
At least 3 years with ABB 800xA and AC800M.
End-to-end delivery of ABB 800xA projects including engineering, FAT, SAT, commissioning, and handover.

Responsibilities

Design, configure, test, and commission ABB 800xA, AC800M, S800 I/O, and related networks.
Develop control logic, interlocks, and engineering records.
Create operator displays, alarms, trends, and historian interfaces.
Integrate IEDs, relays, PLCs, RTUs, and gateways with ABB systems.
Perform IEC 61850 engineering including ICD/CID/SCD files and time sync.
Configure IEC 101/104, DNP3, Modbus, Profinet, VPNs, and remote telemetry.
Lead FAT, SAT, commissioning, handover, and customer acceptance.
