System Vehicle Testing Engineer

Abu Dhabi United Arab Emirates (AE)

We are looking for a System Vehicle Testing Engineer to join our team in United Arab Emirates. As a Level 4 ADAS Feature Validation Engineer you will be responsible for validating advanced driver assistance systems (ADAS) features at both component and vehicle levels. This includes planning, executing and analyzing tests to ensure compliance with safety performance and regulatory standards. You will work closely with cross-functional teams to deliver high-quality customer-facing features for semi-autonomous and autonomous vehicles.

Task and Responsibilities
  • Feature Validation & Testing:
    • Validate ADAS features such as Adaptive Cruise Control, Lane Keeping Assist, Automatic Emergency Braking, Cross‑Traffic Alert and Highway Assist.
    • Develop and execute test plans covering feature requirements, homologation and SOTIF.
    • Conduct vehicle‑level and simulation‑based testing (HiL, SiL, MiL).
    • Perform data collection, post‑processing and root cause analysis.
  • System Integration & Calibration:
    • Collaborate with hardware/software teams to integrate ADAS systems.
    • Support feature calibration to meet vehicle‑level performance targets.
    • Benchmark competitor systems and contribute to feature refinement.
  • Tool & Process Development:
    • Utilize tools like MATLAB, CANoe, CANape, Python and C for simulation analysis and validation of in‑vehicle communication networks (CAN, LIN, FlexRay, Ethernet).
    • Develop new verification methods and contribute to process optimization.
    • Develop CAPL scripts to automate test scenarios.
  • Cross‑functional Collaboration:
    • Work with teams in HMI, cybersecurity, infotainment, powertrain and homologation.
    • Align validation activities with system architecture and functional safety standards (e.g. ISO 26262, ASPICE).
  • Fleet & Infrastructure Management:
    • Support the build‑up and management of prototype and production vehicle fleets.
    • Coordinate proving ground and public road testing.
Qualifications and Education Requirements
  • Bachelor or Master’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, Mechanical Engineering or related field.
  • 35 years of experience in ADAS or autonomous vehicle validation.
  • Strong understanding of sensor technologies (LiDAR, radar, cameras) and vehicle dynamics.
  • Experience with automotive testing tools and standards (NCAP, GSR2).
  • Proficiency with Vector tools: CANoe, CANape.
  • Programming skills in Python, C, MATLAB.
  • Solid understanding of vehicle architecture and embedded communication protocols.
  • Familiarity with agile development tools (Jira, Jama).
  • Analytical mindset, autonomy and strong team collaboration skills.
  • Very good English is a plus.
  • Location requirement: This position is open to candidates based in UAE only.
  • Valid T1 or T2 driving license required for vehicle testing.
Preferred Skills
  • Experience with ADAS feature development and calibration at OEM or Tier 1 supplier.
  • Knowledge of simulation environments and test automation.
  • Understanding of regulatory and safety standards (FMVSS, ISO 26262).
  • Strong analytical and communication skills.
