Job summary

4baseCare in Dubai is seeking a Junior Clinical Laboratory Scientist to join a precision oncology and genomics team. You will perform nucleic acid extraction, run DNA/RNA quality checks, and prepare NGS libraries across various sample types in a laboratory setting.

Qualifications

• Education: B.E./B.Tech, BSc, MSc or M.Tech in Biotechnology or Genetics.
• Experience: Minimum 1 year in molecular biology or clinical laboratory settings.
• Skills: Hands-on DNA/RNA extraction, NGS, and molecular techniques; MS Office; strong communication and analytical abilities.

• Perform nucleic acid extraction from biological samples (blood, tissue, swabs).
• Conduct DNA/RNA quality checks using spectrophotometry, fluorometry, gel electrophoresis.
• Prepare NGS libraries from multiple sample types.
• Execute and monitor sequencing runs using standard protocols.
• Maintain and calibrate laboratory equipment.
• Ensure proper storage, handling and disposal of samples and chemicals.
• Support Lab Manager in method development and validation.
• Participate in lab accreditation processes (NABL, EIAC).
