The Associate Consultant will form part of the Land team’s senior management and support a rapidly growing team of environmental professionals primarily focused on the delivery of projects associated with several downstream Oil & Gas sector clients, covering contaminated land assessment, environmental liability management and remediation projects. This will include specifically Programme Management and Business Development associated with at least two key clients in the Oil and Gas industry. This would entail close engagement with the Client contacts at each organisation, as well as effectively driving the completion of work by the SLR team members. A sound knowledge of risk-based approaches to sustainable environmental management and relevant South African contaminated land and waste legislation is critical. As a senior member of the Land Quality and Remediation (LQR) team, you will be key to growing, providing senior technical expertise, and mentoring staff within your region and across Southern Africa. This will include technical expertise in land and groundwater contamination, including vapour impacts. While the team has a strong focus on downstream Oil & Gas sector clients, the opportunity will also exist to participate in other SLR key client projects within the infrastructure, mining, commercial / industrial, and waste sectors.
SLR’s approved Employment Equity Plan and Targets will be considered as part of the recruitment process. We actively encourage and welcome people with various disabilities to apply. SLR is committed to an organisational culture that recognises, appreciates, and values diversity & inclusion.
