Senior Bookkeeper & Team Lead - Remote Options
Job summary
A growing accounting firm is seeking a Senior Full-Time Bookkeeper in Paarl, Western Cape. This role involves managing advanced bookkeeping functions, ensuring accuracy in financial reporting, and supervising a bookkeeping team. Ideal candidates will have a Certificate or Diploma in accounting/bookkeeping and at least 3-4 years of bookkeeping experience. Proficiency in Xero and strong math skills are crucial for success. The firm supports office-based, remote, or hybrid work options.
Qualifications
- Matric with good grades in mathematics/accounting.
- At least 3-4 years in bookkeeping within an accounting practice.
Responsibilities
- Record daily financial transactions and post them in accounting software.
- Ensure the accuracy of the trial balance.
- File electronic or hardcopy documents.
- Review and issue management reports for clients.
- Manage VAT reconciliation and submission.
- Handle client interactions regarding bookkeeping.
- Supervise bookkeeping team administrative tasks.
- Review, approve, and create audit/financial statement packs.
- Perform other ad-hoc duties as required.
