Placements24 is seeking a Youth Development Officer to empower young people in Richards Bay by facilitating access to educational, recreational, and vocational opportunities. The role blends fieldwork with remote planning and coordination to shape youth development across KwaZulu-Natal.

You will collaborate with schools, NGOs, and government initiatives, designing impactful programs and mentoring youth while tracking outcomes and impact for continuous improvement.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Social Sciences, Education, Community Development, or a related field.
• Minimum 2 years of youth work or community programming experience.
• Proven ability to develop and deliver engaging programmes for youth.
• Strong understanding of youth challenges and opportunities in Richards Bay.
• Excellent communication, facilitation, and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work in both field and remote settings.
