Job summary

BDO South Africa invites motivated graduates to join a 12-month YES Internship, a fixed-term program designed to provide hands-on workplace experience and essential skills for a successful career in professional services.

You will work under guidance on real projects, develop technical and professional capabilities, and build confidence while contributing to a collaborative, inclusive team environment in Rosebank.

Qualifications

• Degree in Computer Science, IT, Software Development, Information Management or related field with interest in ERP/CRM, data analytics or IT governance.
• Experience with TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, LAN/WAN, Wi‑Fi and basic troubleshooting.
• Microsoft Windows, Active Directory, Entra ID and Microsoft 365 fundamentals.
• Basic knowledge of servers, switches, routers, firewalls, Wi‑Fi and cabling.
• Understanding of incidents, requests, changes and documentation (ITSM).

Responsibilities

• Contribute to practical IT projects and office operations as part of the YES Internship programme.
• Learn from mentors and professionals while handling supervised tasks.
• Develop workplace-ready technical and professional skills
• Support team members with data gathering, reporting and coordination activities.

Experience We Value

Previous exposure to an office or administrative environment will be advantageous. This may include experience with data capturing, information gathering, reporting, coordination activities, and supporting business operations.

Qualifications

• Digital Solutions: Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Software Development, Information Management, or a related field, with an interest in ERP systems, CRM platforms, Data Analytics, Software Development, Digital Transformation, or IT Governance
• Experience:
  • Networking: TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, LAN/WAN, Wi-Fi, and basic troubleshooting.
  • Microsoft: Windows, Active Directory, Entra ID and Microsoft 365 fundamentals.
  • Infrastructure: Basic knowledge of servers, switches, routers, firewalls, Wi‑Fi, and cabling.
  • Troubleshooting: Logical problem-solving and fault identification.
  • ITSM: Understanding of incidents, requests, changes, and documentation.
  • Security: Basic cybersecurity, MFA, and access‑control awareness.
  • Monitoring: Ability to interpret alerts/logs and maintain infrastructure records.

Willingness to learn, reliability, attention to detail, communication and ability to follow procedures. Vibe coding experimentation or experience - show proof of concept / work
