MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS

• Minimum 2-3 years' experience within a hotel workshop or maintenance role.
• Previous hotel experience is essential.
• Technical or trade qualification in Mechanical, Electrical or Workshop Engineering is advantageous.
• Proven experience in workshop maintenance, repairs or fabrication.
• Strong knowledge of workshop tools, machinery and safe working procedures.
• Good understanding of maintenance, repair and fabrication processes.
• Strong technical problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
• Ability to work independently, prioritise tasks and meet deadlines.
• Good teamwork and communication skills.
• A reliable, disciplined and safety-conscious approach to work.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

• Perform preventative and corrective maintenance on hotel equipment, furniture, fixtures and facilities.
• Repair, refurbish and fabricate components within the workshop.
• Assist with on-site maintenance and urgent repairs across guest and back-of-house areas.
• Complete work to a high standard of quality and durability while minimising disruption to guests.
• Operate and maintain workshop tools and machinery safely and efficiently.
• Inspect and test completed work to ensure reliability and performance.
• Maintain a clean, organised and functional workshop.
• Work closely with the Engineering and Maintenance team to support daily hotel operations.
• Monitor tools, materials and inventory levels, reporting shortages, defects and equipment concerns to maintenance leadership.
• Handle and store workshop equipment and materials correctly.
• Follow health and safety procedures, use required personal protective equipment and maintain operational standards.
