Our client, one of the leading agro-industrial companies in the DRC, is seeking a Workshop Manager for its Lubumbashi farm.

The Workshop Supervisor is responsible for leading, supervising, and developing mechanics, electricians, welders, tyre technicians, and apprentices. He also is expected to implement and enforce workshop standards, procedures, and best practices.

Missions & Responsibilities
  • Manage all workshop activities for agricultural machinery, earth-moving equipment, trucks, trailers, and light vehicles
  • Plan, schedule, and control preventive, predictive, and corrective maintenance programs
  • Implement and enforce workshop standards, procedures, and best practices
  • Lead, supervise, and develop mechanics, electricians, welders, tyre technicians, and apprentices
  • Train staff on machinery, tools, safety procedures, and maintenance standards
  • Monitor performance and provide technical guidance and mentoring
  • Maintain accurate equipment registers, service records, and breakdown reports
  • Investigate recurring breakdowns and implement corrective and preventive actions
  • Control workshop inventory and minimize downtime caused by parts shortages
  • Monitor maintenance costs, repair budgets, and fuel-related mechanical issues
Required profile
  • Proven experience in searching, identifying, and verifying spare parts using online catalogues, manufacturer databases, and digital parts manuals (CLAAS, John Deere, etc.)
  • Solid management skills
  • Strong organizational skills for managing high-volume stock
  • Experience in agricultural or mechanical workshops, especially with heavy-equipment parts
  • Fluent in English
  • Good mastery of Excel
