Job description

SUMMARY : POSITION INFO :

Duties include :

• Supervise workshop staff and daily operations
• Manage vehicle servicing, breakdowns, and downtime
• Ensure quality control and workshop safety compliance
• Manage stock, tools and parts procurements and procedures
• Implementation of new systems
• Management of administration such as invoice capturing, stock control
• Management of policies and procedures
• Oversee licensing, trailer inspections, and COFs

Minimum Requirements :

• Qualified Diesel Mechanic
• Grade 12 (Matric)
• 5+ years’ experience in a transport or mechanical workshop
• 3+ years in a management role
• Strong technical knowledge of trucks and trailers
• Valid Code EC / EC1 driver’s licence
• Proficient in Microsoft Office
• Available for after-hours support when needed
• Excellent leadership and team management abilities
• Strong problem-solving and decision-making skills
• Effective communication and interpersonal skills
• High attention to detail and quality control
• Ability to work under pressure and manage multiple priorities
