Overview

Hire Resolve is currently seeking a qualified and experienced Workshop Manager for our client based in Bloemfontein, Free State. As a Workshop Manager, you will be responsible for overseeing the operations of the workshop, managing a team of technicians, and ensuring efficient and effective workflow. This role requires strong leadership skills, excellent communication and problem-solving abilities, and a deep understanding of workshop management processes and procedures.

Responsibilities
  • Lead and manage a team of technicians and administrative staff
  • Manage technicians work load, performance and work quality
  • Perform maintenance on plant as required
  • Stock management of critical spares
  • Manage control and standard of workshop equipment and housekeeping
  • Planning and implementation of preventative maintenance schedules
  • Implement and maintain health and safety procedures & ISO quality requirements
  • Initiate cost and manage critical improvement projects across all operational areas
  • Manage repairs and maintenance budget
Requirements
  • Qualified Diesel Mechanic with 10 years experience on construction plant and equipment
  • At least 5 years proven experience as a Workshop Manager or similar role
  • Demonstrated leadership and team management skills
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Strong problem-solving abilities
  • Sound knowledge of workshop management processes and procedures
  • Ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks and projects
  • Knowledge of health and safety regulations
  • Proficient in MS Office
  • Valid driver’s license
