We have an exciting opportunity for a Web Developer to join WP Overnight– part of the Team Updraft family.

To be successful in this role you will have deep knowledge of WooCommerce and a passion for developing WordPress.

PHP and JavaScript are also a must.

You will have the option to choose your own hours up to 40 per week, and you can work remotely from anywhere in the world; we simply ask that you have 4 hours of crossover with UK working hours per day.

The Job

you will be responsible for working on our website and WooCommerce related plugins, working together with a small, global team involved in development and testing.

The day-to-day role

• Collaborate with the team on our codebase to implement new features, bug fixes and improvements
• Work in PHP, JavaScript and WordPress libraries to write clean, efficient and secure code
• Write inline documentation for your code
• Test and produce testing guides for your code
• Manage your own time to fulfil your tasks
• Research / debug problems on your own or in collaboration with other developers and our support team
• Your exact responsibilities will depend on your experience and how this fits with the work being done by other members of the team.

• PHP – with experience of the latest frameworks and libraries
• WordPress plugin development
• WooCommerce development
• JavaScript

It would be nice if you have experience with :

• GitHub / GitLab / Git – nice to have, but can be learnt quickly by good developers used to alternatives like SVN
• React
• jQuery
