Job summary

Marais Family Wines is seeking a reliable, hardworking, and innovative individual for a hands-on maintenance role at the Rawsonville estate. The position covers maintenance of vehicles, farm and cellar equipment, and the installation of stainless-steel piping in the cellar.

You will be involved in building maintenance, welding, electrical tasks, and PVC installations. The role requires bilingual Afrikaans & English communication, a valid driver’s license, and own transport for on-site duties.

Qualifications

• Relevant tertiary qualification.
• Approximately 5 years’ experience in a similar position in the farming industry.
• Knowledge of welding, construction, mechanical, and electrical maintenance.
• Fully bilingual (Afrikaans & English).
• Good computer skills (MS Office).
• Valid driver’s license & own reliable transport.

Responsibilities

• Technical repair and maintenance of all vehicles, farm- and cellar equipment.
• Installation of stainless-steel piping and construction of walk- and stairways in cellar.
• General maintenance of all farm buildings.
• Welding work.
• Electrical maintenance.
• All PVC installations & repairs.
• Ensure correct application, maintenance, and control of vehicles and equipment.
• Ensure that drivers are trained and informed of their tasks and responsibilities.
• All other maintenance and administrative functions related to the position.
