We're Hiring: WIL Project Manager (Johannesburg, Gauteng, South Africa | Occasional National Travel)

Are you passionate about education, skills development, and building bridges between colleges and industry?

SSACI is looking for a proactive Project Manager to lead our Work Integrated Learning (WIL) initiatives—securing and managing internships, apprenticeships, and workplace exposure for college lecturers and students.

What you'll do
  • Build and manage partnerships with employers to secure WIL opportunities.
  • Oversee end-to-end project delivery, from planning and placement to monitoring and reporting.
  • Liaise with TVET colleges and other industry partners, ensuring alignment and meaningful workplace experiences.
  • Facilitate smooth onboarding, support, and ongoing communication for all placement participants.
  • Handle logistics, administration, site visits, and quality assurance throughout the process.
What you'll bring
  • Degree / Diploma (University / TVET) or similar.
  • Teaching / Partnerships / Management Experience in the TVET sector.
  • In-depth understanding of the South African industry and job market, including current trends and employer needs.
  • Strong, established network within industry sectors and the ability to leverage connections to create new workplace opportunities.
  • Excellent organization, time management, and communication skills.
  • Ability to work collaboratively and independently.
  • Knowledge of the South African skills development landscape is a plus.
