Wembley College in Greytown invites applications for a motivated Sports Intern to support coaching, event coordination, scholar supervision and sports administration. The position involves coaching junior teams, assisting with fixtures, supervision of scholars, and contributing to a vibrant school sports program.

Formación

• Relevant qualification or current studies in Sport Science, Education, Human Movement Science, Coaching, or a related field.
• Passion for sport and working with young people.
• Strong organisational, interpersonal, and communication skills.
• Ability to work flexible hours, including afternoons, evenings, and weekends.
• Coaching experience, first aid certification, and a valid driver's licence will be advantageous.

Responsabilidades

• Assist with coaching and development of junior sports teams.
• Support training sessions, matches, and sporting activities.
• Promote sportsmanship, teamwork, discipline, and participation among scholars.
• Provide assistance to coaches and the Director of Sport as required.
• Attend and assist at all assigned sporting fixtures, tournaments, festivals, and events.
• Support the organisation, setup, and operation of sports events.
• Assist with scholar supervision during home and away fixtures.
• Ensure the safe and professional conduct of scholars at all times.
• Assist with fixture schedules, team lists, attendance registers, results, and sports communications.
• Help maintain sports equipment and facilities.
• Provide administrative support to the Sports Department as required.
• Be an active and visible member of the Wembley College community.
• Participate in school functions, open days, camps, and co-curricular activities when required.
• Uphold and promote the values, ethos, and reputation of Wembley College.

Description Wembley College is a leading, English Medium, co-educational, independent school situated on a beautiful campus amongst the rolling hills of Greytown in the KwaZulu Natal Midlands. Description Wembley College seeks a motivated and professional Sports Intern to support the delivery and growth of the College's sports programme. The Sports Intern will assist with coaching, event coordination, scholar supervision, and sports administration while actively participating in the broader life of the school.

Responsibilities

Coaching and Sport Support
