Qualifications, Skills and Experience

The following trade tested qualifications will be considered :

• Must be qualified with a valid trade test certificate.
• Work experience of at least 5 years in the marine industry
• Knowledge of metallurgy
• Repair machinery with different welding techniques
• Set up components for welding
• Ability and acumen to work independently read blueprints and understand drawings
• Ability to take and read measurements
• Strong welding background and knowledge of welding procedures
• Ability to operate machinery power tools and equipment
• Knowledge of materials used in welding jobs and steel structures of a vessel and certain jobs
• Good knowledge of health and safety
• Attention to detail good problem-solving skills and ability to work under pressure.
