Job summary

A furniture retail company in Gauteng seeks an Assistant Website Warehouse Manager to ensure accurate and efficient dispatching of website orders. The ideal candidate will manage warehouse processes, oversee staff, and maintain high levels of customer service. Suitable applicants should have a Grade 12 equivalent and logistics experience. This role requires strong communication skills and warehouse management system experience.

Qualifications

  • Grade 12 or equivalent.
  • Relevant diploma/degree in logistics and/or operations is preferred.
  • 3+ years retail/logistics experience.
  • Warehouse Management System experience.
  • Computer literate – Word, Excel, Outlook & Google Sheets.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

Responsibilities

  • Manage compliance of existing processes in the warehouse.
  • Ensure correct dispatch procedures are followed.
  • Plan deliveries when needed.
  • Maintain documentation process of picking slips, delivery notes, and waybills.
  • Manage relations with third-party logistics partners.
  • Ensure maximum efficiency through process review.
  • Provide high level of customer service.
  • Manage quality control and accuracy of orders.

Assistant Website Warehouse Manager

As the Assistant Website Warehouse Manager, your primary responsibility is to manage the accurate and efficient dispatching of all website orders.

This includes managing employees in your department as well as handling all customer service queries related to the delivery process.

This is a 6‑day work week.

Key Responsibilities
  • Manage the compliance of existing processes in the warehouse
  • Ensure correct dispatch procedures are followed
  • Plan deliveries when needed
  • Maintain an efficient documentation process of picking slips, delivery notes, waybills
  • Manage relations with third‑party logistics partners
  • Continually review available processes and data to ensure maximum efficiency
  • Provide extra planning and focus given to peak periods
  • Align transport requirements with the order
  • Provide a high level of customer service
  • Manage quality control and accuracy of orders
  • Accurate comparison of the invoice to the physical stock
  • Ensure the correct orders are picked timely
  • Perform quality control of stock handling
  • Manage employees in your department
  • Recruit new staff when needed
  • Attendance and timekeeping

Ideal Candidate Profile
  • Grade 12 or equivalent
