Position Purpose
Stride IT Business Solutions is recruiting on behalf of our client in the travel arrangements industry for a temporary Web Specialist to join their dynamic team.
The successful candidate will play a key role in optimising and maintaining the organisation's B2C website, ensuring it delivers an engaging, seamless, and high-performing digital experience aligned with both local market and global requirements.
This position is ideal for a seasoned and mature digital professional with strong eCommerce and SEO knowledge, who can confidently step in, take ownership and add immediate value in a fast-paced environment.
Key Accountabilities & Responsibilities
- Website Global and Local Updates – 40% Implement corporate and local web content updates as instructed by global and regional teams.
- Review, proofread, and edit all content to ensure accuracy, clarity, and alignment with brand standards before publishing.
- Verify all links and content for accuracy, functionality, and ease of navigation.
- Update rates and pricing on the website promptly upon receipt of new information from local and global sources.
- Developing Pages – 20% Design, develop, and publish landing pages to support ongoing and short-term marketing campaigns, including themed promotions and cruise pages.
- Collaborate with the Marketing and eCommerce teams to ensure all pages are visually appealing, user-friendly, and optimised for conversion.
- Test and track the effectiveness of custom links and promotional pages to ensure optimal user engagement.
- Maintain and regularly refresh promotional content and theme‑specific pages.
- Proactively manage product and sales‑related content to ensure relevance and accuracy.
- Monitor static web pages and update content as needed to maintain alignment with corporate quality standards.
- Identify, log, and track web errors by raising and managing tickets through to resolution.
- Conduct regular user journey testing to ensure a seamless online booking experience.
- Liaise with Global IT and eCommerce teams to resolve technical or functionality issues.
- Reporting – 10% Support the Marketing Manager by tracking user journeys and analysing behaviour to enhance sales conversions.
- Compile and present weekly and monthly reports on website performance, highlighting insights and opportunities for improvement.
Job Qualifications & Requirements
- Experience: Minimum of 3–5 years' experience in website content development, management, and publishing.
- Strong knowledge of technical SEO principles and best practices.
- Experience in eCommerce marketing and web merchandising is highly desirable.
- Education / Training / Certifications: Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Digital Media, Web Development, or a related field, or equivalent relevant experience.
- Fluent in English with excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Strong attention to detail and the ability to communicate complex technical issues clearly to non‑technical audiences.
- Highly organised, methodical, and able to manage multiple priorities within deadlines.
- Capable of working both independently and collaboratively within a cross‑functional team environment.
- Solid understanding of HTML, CSS, and basic web development principles.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook).
- Strong interpersonal and stakeholder management skills with a customer‑focused approach.
- Ability to work under pressure and adapt to changing priorities.
- Professional, reliable, and punctual, maintaining a positive representation of the brand.
- Flexibility to work in line with operational requirements.
- Graphic design skills (Adobe InDesign, Illustrator) would be an advantage.
