Crossing Hurdles in Sandton, Gauteng, is seeking a Senior Financial Analyst to support strategic decision-making for a growing hospitality portfolio of hotels and resorts.

You will lead FP&A activities including forecasting, budgeting, performance analysis, and reporting to senior leadership, translating complex data into actionable insights.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics or a related quantitative field.
• Minimum 5 years of financial analysis experience, hospitality or corporate finance preferred.
• Advanced Excel skills with complex modeling, pivot tables, macros.
• Familiarity with FP&A software (Hyperion, SAP BPC, Adaptive Insights).

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain financial models for forecasting, budgeting, and long-range planning.
• Conduct in-depth financial analysis of operational performance, identifying trends, variances, and key drivers.
• Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports for senior management and stakeholders.
• Assist in the preparation of annual budgets and rolling forecasts for various business units.
• Provide financial support and analysis for new business initiatives, investments, and M&A activities.
• Monitor key financial metrics and KPIs, providing insights and recommendations for improvement.
• Collaborate with accounting teams to ensure accurate financial reporting and compliance.
• Support internal and external audits as required.
• Streamline financial reporting processes and enhance analytical tools.
• Stay informed about industry financial trends and best practices.

• Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
• Professional certifications such as CFA or CA(SA) are a plus.
• Must be based in or able to commute to Sandton, Gauteng.
