Job summary

FirstRand Corporate Centre, operating through FNB Private Banking, seeks an experienced private wealth advisor to deliver holistic financial solutions and education to high-net-worth clients. You will expand the portfolio, identify fiduciary opportunities, and ensure compliant, high‑quality service aligned with group values.

The ideal candidate has 3–5 years in banking/wealth management, strong market knowledge, and a CFP preference.

Qualifications

• Relevant NQF7 Level Degree in Finance, Economics or Accounting.
• Completed RE5 qualification.
• Preferred: Certified Financial Planner (CFP).
• 3–5 years’ experience in Banking, Investment, Financial Planning, Wealth Management, and client-facing environment.
• Full understanding of money management principles.

Responsibilities

• Deliver exceptional experience and education to Private Wealth clients on wealth creation, accumulation and protection tactics to increase VSI and drive retention.
• Provide tailored banking and financial solutions across an allocated portfolio.
• Identify Local and Offshore fiduciary opportunities and advise on client philanthropy.
• Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and internal processes.
• Build relationships across teams to enhance delivery, collaboration and innovation.
• Conduct client reviews and market financial services solutions within the offering.
• Uncover opportunities for revenue growth to achieve sales targets.

Role Purpose:
To deliver exceptional experience and education to Private Wealth clients on basic wealth creation, accumulation and overall protection tactics to increase vertical sales index (VSI) and drive client retention and entrenchment through using contextual Money Management principles.

• Achieve revenue and profit targets by growing portfolio base, providing independent holistic

• Identify and utilize opportunities for revenue growth to deliver on sales targets.
• Provide appropriate banking and financial solutions across an allocated portfolio of clients.
• Identify Local and Offshore fiduciary opportunities and advise on client philanthropy.
• Ensure compliance with legislative and audit requirements and adherence to relevant processes.
• Build working relationships across teams and functional lines to enhance work delivery, collaboration, and innovation.
• Develop, encourage and nurture collaborative relationships within FNB and/or across the First Rand Group (FRG).
• Conduct client reviews within the context of client engagements and market all financial services solutions within the relevant business offering.
• Participate in planned activities that are appropriate for own development.
• Deliver customer experience excellence in own service delivery aligned to Organizational values and service standards.
• Deliver internal and external customer service excellence through adherence to quality service standards.
• Prevent wastage and identify process improvements to contain and reduce costs.

You will be an ideal candidate if you:

• Relevant NQF7 Level Degree in Finance, Economics or Accounting.
• Completed RE5 qualification.
• Preferred Qualification - Certified Financial Planner (CFP)
• Experience - 3 to 5 years’ experience in Banking, Investment, Financial Planning, Wealth
• Management, and client facing environment.
• Full understanding of money management principles
