You will drive design, development, and implementation of cutting-edge water purification and wastewater treatment systems for municipal and industrial clients across South Africa.

The role requires a Master’s or PhD in Chemical Engineering, 10+ years of leadership in water and wastewater treatment, and strong skills in process modeling, CAD tools, and membrane

Qualifications

• Master's degree or PhD in Chemical Engineering.
• 10+ years of chemical engineering experience, focused on water and wastewater treatment.
• Proven experience leading engineering teams and managing complex projects.
• Expertise in membrane technologies, ion exchange, disinfection, and conventional methods.
• Proficiency in process modeling software and CAD tools.
• Strong knowledge of kinetics, mass transfer, and environmental engineering principles.
• Excellent leadership, communication, and stakeholder management skills.
• Experience with project financial management and contract negotiation.
• Professional Engineer (Pr.Eng) registration is essential.
• Willingness to travel within South Africa and internationally.

Responsibilities

• Lead the design and engineering of water treatment and wastewater systems.
• Oversee process simulations, P&ID development, and equipment specs.
• Manage project timelines, budgets, and resources.
• Provide technical leadership and mentorship to engineers.
• Conduct site assessments and feasibility studies.
• Ensure designs meet industry standards and regulations.
• Collaborate with sales, operations, and R&D to deliver integrated solutions.
• Develop client relationships with technical consultation.
• Stay updated on emerging water tech trends.
• Prepare technical proposals and project documentation.
