Job summary

A water utility company located in Gauteng, Vereeniging is seeking a Laboratory Technician to perform water sample analysis under the supervision of the Process Supervisor. The ideal candidate will have a Grade 12 qualification, knowledge of water treatment processes, and the ability to operate laboratory instruments. Responsibilities include collecting and analyzing samples, recording data, and reporting any issues. A valid driver's license and safety training are required for this role.

Qualifications

• Basic understanding of the water treatment process and the ability to operate laboratory instruments.
• A valid Code 08 Driver‘s license and the ability to pass Rand Water’s K53 test.
• Safety Training.

Responsibilities

• Collect and analyze water samples accurately using laboratory instruments.
• Record sample analysis results and report to Supervisor.
• Report deviations of water samples and unsafe conditions to Supervisor.

Skills

Good housekeeping skills

Basic understanding of water treatment process

Good communication skills (verbal)

Ability to operate lab instruments
