Job description

JG Afrika is seeking an experienced Wastewater Engineer

Duties and Responsibilities :

• The design of wastewater infrastructure
• Project management of multidisciplinary projects
• Contract administration
• Supporting Green Drop and Blue Drop compliance.
• The role involves site work and may require travel at short notice.
• A full and valid driver's licence is essential.

Qualifications :

• A minimum of a BSc, BEng, or BTech in Civil Engineering is required.
• A Master's in Water and Wastewater Treatment Processes is a strong advantage.
• A BSc or BEng in Chemical Engineering will also be considered, providing you have experience in municipal wastewater treatment design and project management.
• Please provide evidence on your CV.
• Registered with ECSA as a Professional Engineer / Technologist, or close to registration.

Experience :

• At least 8 years of experience in wastewater infrastructure design and contract administration, with good knowledge of treatment plant processes.

Skills :

• Must be able to work independently as well as part of a team.
• Excellent communication skills are a requirement.
• Strong and demonstrable technical skills in the engineering space.
• Strong AutoCAD, Civil 3D, Revit and Microsoft Office, including advanced Excel, Word and MS Project.
