Job summary

A logistics company in Gauteng is seeking a Warehouse General Worker to assist with day-to-day operations. The role involves stock handling, labeling, packing, and ensuring a clean working environment. Ideal candidates should have a Grade 12 certificate and strong teamwork skills. Previous warehouse experience and a valid driver's license are advantageous. A clear criminal record is essential.

Responsibilities

  • Label bottles and boxes accurately and efficiently.
  • Operate filling machines in accordance with safety and quality standards.
  • Pack and box customer orders for dispatch.
  • Load and unload delivery vehicles with care and efficiency.
  • Report any damaged or faulty goods to the Warehouse Supervisor directly.
  • Maintain high standards of cleanliness and order in the warehouse.
  • Provide general assistance to warehouse staff.

Introduction

To assist in the day‑to‑day operations of the warehouse by performing a variety of tasks including stock handling, labelling, packing, loading / unloading, and maintaining a clean and safe working environment.

The Warehouse General worker supports efficient inventory and ensures that all warehouse processes run smoothly.

Duties & ResponsibilitiesLabel bottles and boxes accurately and efficientlyOperate filling machines in accordance with safety and quality standardsPack, wrap, and box customer orders for dispatchReceive incoming stock and place items into appropriate storage areasLoad and unload delivery vehicles with care and efficiencyReport any damaged or faulty goods to the Warehouse Supervisor immediatelyApply barcodes to stock and ensure items are correctly recordedProvide general assistance to warehouse staff and contribute to team tasksFollow all lawful and reasonable instructions issued by supervisorsMaintain high standards of cleanliness and order in the warehouse (daily housekeeping)
