Role Description

This position reports to the Logistics Manager and will be responsible for receiving incoming materials, inventory control, and shipping customer orders. It ensures materials are processed quickly and helps manage inventory levels and Kanbans. The successful candidate will thrive in a dynamic, fast‑paced working environment and contribute directly to company culture and success. Responsibilities
  • Support dispatch and shipment preparation, including labeling and documentation.
  • Receive raw materials, packaging materials, and finished goods according to policies and procedures.
  • Support shipping of orders in a timely manner according to ship dates.
  • Perform kitting functions and respective documentation.
  • Maintain and update inventory databases as part of cycle count activities.
  • Maintain FIFO/FEFO of all inventory.
  • Assist with Kanban ordering and maintenance.
  • Maintain dock and shipping areas to be clean, safe, and presentable at all times.
  • Routine collection and deliveries between sites.
  • Assist in revising SOPs or implementing improvements.
  • Identify opportunities to improve kitting and assembly efficiency while maintaining compliance.
  • Contribute to continuous improvement of the processes and procedures in the warehouse functions.
  • Operate warehouse equipment (e.g., forklifts, pallet jacks) safely and per SOPs.
  • Follow health and safety regulations (e.g., PPE use, spill control, waste segregation).
  • Store materials in designated, controlled areas under required environmental conditions (e.g., temperature, humidity).
Skills and Requirements
  • Previous experience obtained in a Pharmaceutical or FMCG environment or similar role.
  • Licensed driver.
  • Ability to work well with multiple and competing deadlines.
  • Sound judgment and excellent problem‑solving skills.
  • Attention to detail.
  • Flexibility to work irregular hours, including occasional weekends, when required.
  • Basic written and verbal communication skills.
  • Practical experience with computer software.
  • Education: Matric + 4 years experience in a similar role within a Pharmaceutical or Biotech environment or similar role.
