Our client in the Aluminium windows and doors hardware industry is seeking a hands-on Warehouse Supervisor! Lead a small crew, keep operations running smoothly and take ownership of inventory, dispatch and daily logistics. If you’re organized, reliable and ready to make an impact we want to hear from you!
People
- Fully accountable
- Active leave management
- Verbal scorecard sessions every 2nd month; notes kept on file
- Written instructions/SOPs
- Attend to training requirements
- Code of conduct positively upheld
- Ops / Internal Sales Friday meetings in place and positive outcomes
Logistics
- Fully accountable
- Manage and assist with receiving, pick, check, pack, dispatch
- Dedicated vehicle and courier cut-off time management and adherence
- FIFO as a priority
- Sales invoices delivered within agreed lead times
- Manage relationship with provider; plan optimal route, review efficiency and cost
- Couriers: cost-effective quotes/bookings; review lead times/customer satisfaction; review alternative service providers
- Delivery channel efficiency improvements to NOM
- Monthly transport report and invoice deliveries report to NOM
Stock & Warehouse Management
- Fully accountable
- Local stock purchases per budget and ensure ample stock
- Approval for all orders
- Returns assessed for damages before put away or scrap
- Cycle counts per unit per day as instructed; investigation
- Quarterly wall-to-wall unit counts as instructed; investigation
- Monthly counts per box/loose; manage hygiene
- Dispatch spot checks as instructed
- 5% unit QC on all inbound stock ramping to 20% if any non-conformances identified; stickers applied; subsequent management
- Housekeeping standards maintained
- Pre-stock take protocol maintained; no food or drink permitted
- OHS Act compliance
- Weekly reporting to NOM and NSM detailing stock on shelf, back orders and ETAs
- Weekly ops report by 3pm each Friday
General
- Any ad-hoc duties delegated by Management
- Ability to transition between high-level, large-impact activities and lower-level tasks as the operation demands
Requirements
Skills and Qualifications
- Matric (tertiary qualification advantageous)
- Proven skills in both administration and physical warehouse operations
- Working proficiency with an ERP
- Ability to perform in a pressurized environment
- Excellent communication skills, written and verbal
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Word and Outlook

- Remuneration: R20,000 - R25,000 basic salary (depending on experience)
