Warehouse Supervisor Job SummaryThe Warehouse Supervisor is responsible for overseeing the daily operations of the Distribution Centre, ensuring efficient handling, storage, and dispatch of homeware and linen products.

This role includes managing staff, maintaining inventory accuracy, and upholding safety and quality standards.Key Responsibilities

Key Responsibilities
  • Supervise warehouse operations : receiving, storing, picking, packing, and shipping.
  • Ensure inventory accuracy through regular cycle counts and audits.
  • Maintain warehouse equipment and enforce safety protocols.
  • Lead and train warehouse staff to meet operational goals.
  • Coordinate with logistics and / or receiving and dispatch teams for timely deliveries.
  • Manage returns and damaged goods in line with company policies.
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and efficient warehouse environment.
Qualifications & Experience
  • Matric certificate; logistics or supply chain qualification preferred.
  • 3–5 years of warehouse experience, with 1–2 years in a supervisory role.
  • Experience in homeware or textile distribution is advantageous.
  • Proficient in WMS and Microsoft Office.
  • Strong leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills.
Key Performance Indicators (KPIs)
  • Order Accuracy Rate : % of orders shipped without errors.
  • Inventory Accuracy : % match between physical stock and system records.
  • On-Time Dispatch Rate : % of orders dispatched within the scheduled time.
  • Warehouse Productivity : Units packed / processed per employee per hour.
  • Return Rate : % of items returned due to damage or incorrect shipment / dispatch.
  • Safety Compliance : Number of safety incidents reported per month.
  • Stock Turnover Ratio : Frequency of inventory turnover.
  • Staff Attendance & Punctuality : % of scheduled shifts attended on time.
  • Customer Satisfaction (Delivery-related) : Feedback scores related to delivery, receipt and packaging.
  • Shrinkage Rate : % of inventory lost due to theft, damage, or mismanagement.
