Summary

We are starting our recruitment process early for the Warehouse & Quality Control Assistant role, which is set to commence in 2026, to ensure we build a strong candidate pool.

We are looking to recruit 3 Warehouse & Quality Control Assistants.

This role entails assisting with daily operations of the warehouse, receiving and processing incoming stock, picking and filling orders, packing and shipping orders, maintaining inventory records, and performing quality control checks to ensure all products and processes meet company standards.

  • Reports to: Warehouse Supervisor
  • Location: Stikland, Cape Town
  • Schedule: Monday – Thursday, 08:00 – 16:30 | Friday, 08:00 – 16:00
  • Travel Required: Minimal / local as needed for deliveries or client handovers
Responsibilities
General Warehouse Duties
  • Pick and fill orders from stock accurately, ensuring correct items and quantities.
  • Pack and ship orders, following proper packing standards to prevent damage.
  • Inspect products and packaging for quality, damage, before dispatch.
  • Ensure packed and shipped orders are loaded and secured correctly for delivery.
  • Hand over (load) orders for clients at the dispatch area, ensuring completeness and accuracy.
  • Operate warehouse equipment safely, including forklifts (license required), pallet jacks, and stackers.
  • Maintain a clean, safe, and organized warehouse environment in line with safety and quality standards.
  • Collaborate with warehouse staff to ensure smooth daily operations.
  • Assist with other warehouse duties as assigned.
Quality Control Duties
  • Perform regular quality checks on incoming stock, warehouse storage, and outgoing orders.
  • Maintain accurate records of all quality inspections and report any discrepancies or damages.
  • Assist in implementing quality control processes and improvements.
  • Support the team in meeting company quality standards and compliance requirements.
  • Identify potential process improvements and communicate to supervisors.
  • Support temporary or permanent Quality Control roles as needed, including supervising tasks when required.
Administrative
  • Receive and process incoming stock and materials, verifying quantity, quality, and condition.
  • Assist with inventory management and control, including regular stock audits to ensure accuracy.
  • Maintain accurate records of all transactions, inventory levels, and quality checks.
  • Develop and maintain warehouse cleaning and quality inspection checklists.
Qualifications
  • At least 2 years’ experience in a similar role
  • Grade 12 / Matric
  • Experience with inventory management systems
  • Ability to operate warehouse equipment, including forklifts (license required) and pallet jacks
  • Experience within food service equipment industry – advantageous
  • Knowledge of basic quality control processes and standards
  • Physical capability for lifting, moving, and loading equipment
  • Computer literate, with the ability to maintain records and reports
  • Experience in a team leader or supervisory position would be beneficial
