Warehouse Manager (JB)
Duties & Responsibilities
- Warehouse Operations
- Oversee daily warehouse functions including receiving, put‑away, storage, picking, packing, dispatch, and returns.
- Ensure timely and accurate receipt of raw materials and packaging from suppliers and dispatch of finished goods to customers.
- Maintain an organised, safe and compliant warehouse in line with FSSC health and safety standards.
- Coordinate repairs, pest control and facility maintenance.
- Ensure clear labelling, batch traceability and stock segregation.
- Collaborate with Procurement, Production and Quality to align inbound/outbound plans with manufacturing schedules.
- Implement and manage inventory control systems including cycle counts, bin audits and variance analysis.
- Oversee bi‑annual stock‑takes and ensure prompt investigation and resolution of discrepancies.
- Monitor stock levels to prevent shortages and obsolescence.
- Ensure Cin7 Core data accuracy for real‑time visibility of stock movements.
- Logistics & Dispatch
- Plan and manage all deliveries, including internal driver dispatch and 3rd‑party courier collections.
- Maintain daily dispatch schedules and tracking systems to achieve on‑time, in‑full delivery (OTIF).
- Ensure vehicle inspections, maintenance and licensing are current.
- Resolve delivery or logistics issues quickly to minimise customer impact.
- Build strong partnerships with courier and freight service providers to optimise service and cost efficiency.
- Leadership & Team Management
- Lead, train and motivate warehouse staff to meet performance goals.
- Conduct regular performance reviews and one‑to‑one coaching sessions.
- Document and enforce SOPs for all warehouse activities.
- Implement accountability and continuity systems to ensure smooth operation during staff absences.
- Foster a culture of discipline, ownership and pride in operational excellence.
- Reporting & Compliance
- Prepare reports on inventory accuracy, inbound/outbound performance and delivery metrics.
- Monitor KPIs such as dispatch accuracy, stock variance %, OTIF rate and pick error rate.
- Ensure full compliance with food safety, quality and OHS standards.
- Maintain audit‑ready documentation to support internal and external audits.
Qualifications
- Minimum of 5 years proven experience in warehouse, logistics or supply chain management (preferably FMCG or manufacturing/distribution).
- Experience managing teams of 5–10 staff members, including drivers.
- Strong understanding of inventory control, dispatch and stock reconciliation principles.
- Proficiency in ERP and warehouse systems.
- Strong computer literacy in Microsoft Excel and Office.
- Familiarity with courier portals and delivery tracking systems.
- Excellent organisational, analytical and problem‑solving skills.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and perform effectively under pressure.
- Strong interpersonal and leadership skills with a focus on accountability and continuous improvement.
- Valid driver’s licence.
