Job summary

A leading FMCG company in Johannesburg is seeking a Warehouse Manager to oversee logistics, inventory governance, and compliance with company policies. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in production and warehousing, as well as strong inventory management skills. A diploma in Supply Chain or related field and at least 5 years of supervisory experience are required. This role offers the chance to lead a team and improve processes within the warehouse.

Qualifications

  • 5+ years FMCG experience at supervisory or management level.
  • Extensive technical, production and warehousing experience.
  • Computer literacy is essential.

Responsibilities
  • Manage inbound and outbound logistics across multiple warehouses (including rented warehouses)
  • Manage inventory governance for inbound and outbound as per Tiger brands policies and SOPs
  • Implement and maintain safety, hygiene and 5S standards
  • Ensure compliance to and implementation of Tiger brands inventory management, stock count SOPs and Policies
  • Ensure availability of raw materials and packaging at all times
  • Maintain and promote an environment of continuous improvement
  • Effective management of human resources and promotion of teamwork culture
  • Maintain a healthy industrial relations relationship within the plant
  • Prevent process and product non-conformances in the Warehouse
  • Lead all stock count activities
  • Ensures sound stock management : WIP and Finished goods
  • Ensures timeous cycle counting practices are stringently adhered to
  • Manages variance reports and ensure timeous corrective / preventative measures
  • Minimize waste write-offs
  • Purchasing and control of raw materials and packaging
Qualifications
  • Extensive technical, production and warehousing experience
  • Diploma / Btech / Bcom Supply chain / Industrial Engineering / Operations management minimum requirement
  • Computer Literacy (Essential)
  • Inventory management experience is critical
  • A minimum of 5 years FMCG experience at supervisory / management level
  • Extensive Knowledge of the Oracle Inventory management system
  • Occupational Health and Safety training is preferable
  • Exposure to manufacturing excellence
  • HACCP background will be advantageous
  • Budgetary control experience advantageous
