We are seeking a detail-oriented and motivated Warehouse Manager to ensure that stock levels are accurately maintained to meet operational and customer demands.
Conduct regular cycle counts and full stocktakes, investigating and reconciling any discrepancies between physical inventory and system records.
Implement and maintain effective inventory controls to minimize variances and optimize stock turnover.
Analyze data trends to identify opportunities for process improvements and cost‑saving measures.
Work towards a paperless environment where possible.
Maintain accurate bin locations within the SYSPRO ERP system to ensure they match physical storage.
Develop and optimize storage layouts in collaboration with the procurement team to improve space utilization and material access.
Enforce safety standards, proper handling, and storage protocols for all materials.
Maintain a clear labelling and identification system to streamline tracking and retrieval.
Oversee the picking and issuing of materials for job cards and sales orders.
Prioritise material requests by collaborating with planning and production teams to ensure timely delivery to the production floor.
Communicate proactively with stakeholders about shortages, substitutions, or urgent material needs.
Monitor over‑ and under‑issuing of materials to prevent stock discrepancies.
Manage the transfer of finished goods to the warehouse, ensuring all system transactions are accurate.
Manage the safe and accurate handling of all incoming goods and materials sent to subcontractors.
Conduct thorough inspections of all incoming goods for both quality and quantity.
Track the progress of subcontracted work and manage the return of goods.
Coordinate outgoing shipments, including returns to suppliers, ensuring proper packaging, labelling, and documentation.
Continuously improve the receiving process to reduce turnaround times and increase accuracy.
Lead, mentor, and train the warehouse team, providing regular performance evaluations and constructive feedback.
Delegate responsibilities effectively to ensure smooth operations and timely task completion.
Ensure all team members adhere to health and safety standards, including wearing required PPE.
Collaborate with the Safety Officer to manage safety protocols, risk assessments, and safe operating procedures.
Maintain a clean and organized work environment.
Produce comprehensive reports on inventory levels, discrepancies, and operational performance for management.
Manage timekeeping, attendance, and leave requests for your team.
