Job summary

A logistics management company in Cape Town is looking for an experienced Warehouse Supervisor to oversee daily operations, manage staff, and ensure compliance with industry regulations. The ideal candidate will have over 5 years of experience in warehouse management, preferably within the FMCG sector, and possess strong leadership and organizational skills. A competitive salary of R25,000 to R30,000 is offered depending on experience, along with benefits such as leave and assistance with medical aid.

Job description

Key Responsibilities

• Oversee daily warehouse operations including receiving, storage, order fulfilment, inventory control, and dispatch.
• Ensure compliance with industry regulations and company procedures related to warehouse operations.
• Manage a team of warehouse staff: hiring, training, supervising, and evaluating performance.
• Maintain accurate stock levels and manage stock rotation to ensure product integrity and minimize waste.
• Work closely with procurement, sales, and customer service teams to ensure timely and accurate order fulfilment.
• Implement and optimize warehouse processes for efficiency, safety, and accuracy.
• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe warehouse environment in line with health and safety standards.

Requirements

• Minimum 5 years experience in a warehouse management role, ideally in the FMCG sector.
• Strong leadership skills with experience managing and motivating a team.
• Excellent organizational and time-management abilities.
• Proficient in warehouse management systems (Syspro) and Microsoft Office Suite.
• Sound knowledge of health, safety, and regulatory requirements in warehousing.
• Ability to multitask and handle pressure in a fast-paced environment.
• Relevant diploma or certificate in logistics, supply chain management, or a related field will be advantageous.
