A well-established client in the automotive sector is seeking an experienced Warehouse Supervisor to oversee daily operations in Cape Town. The ideal candidate will ensure effective stock control and lead a team in a fast-paced environment. Key requirements include a matric qualification, leadership experience, and strong knowledge of logistics and compliance standards. A well-established client in the automotive sector is seeking an experienced Warehouse Supervisor to oversee the daily operations of a busy warehouse environment. This role is perfect for someone who thrives in a fast‑paced setting, takes initiative, and has a solid grasp of warehouse systems and labour management.

The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring smooth inbound and outbound processes, stock control, and the effective leadership of warehouse staff. A strong understanding of logistics, compliance, and warehouse systems is essential to succeed in this role.

Key Duties
  • Oversee stock control, reconciliation, and reporting on stock variances
  • Monitor warehouse performance, turnaround, and lead times
  • Manage inbound and outbound stock flow, including receiving, checking, and distribution
  • Implement effective controls to reduce stock loss and ensure accurate returns processing
  • Supervise drivers, vehicle maintenance, and distribution planning
  • Lead and develop warehouse staff, conduct performance reviews, and ensure compliance with all legal and company standards
Key Requirements
  • Matric required; tertiary qualification in warehouse / logistics is desirable
  • Minimum 5 years’ experience in a warehouse environment, preferably in the automotive industry
  • Prior experience as a Warehouse Supervisor or Manager is essential
  • Strong leadership, planning, and decision‑making skills
  • In‑depth knowledge of relevant legislation (e.g. OHSA, LRA, BCEA, EE Act)
  • High level of computer literacy
  • Proven ability to solve problems, negotiate effectively, and work collaboratively
