Job summary

A leading manufacturing company in Cape Town is seeking a Warehouse Manager to oversee the finished goods warehouse operations. The successful candidate will manage stock, ensure safety standards, and foster staff development. Applicants should have 2-3 years of warehouse experience and relevant qualifications in stock control or warehousing.

Qualifications

  • 2 - 3 years' experience in warehousing and distribution environment.
  • Experience in stock management.
  • Identifying products as per product code.

Responsibilities

  • Manage day-to-day operations of the finished goods warehouse.
  • Control forklift fleet.
  • Manage stock to minimize risks such as damages and spoilage.
  • Ensure adherence to safety standards.

About the Role

What You Will Do
  • Ensure timetous cycle counting practices and procedures are stringently adhered to minimize waste write-offs and product damage
  • Control Forklift fleet
  • Manage the stock in the finished goods warehouse to minimise risks such as damages and spoilage
  • Management of safety standards in warehouse
  • Management of discipline in warehouse
  • Effective management of human resources: promote small group activities
  • Management of 20 Keys system in warehouse

  • Pallet account management
  • Staff development - Waste reduction
What You'll Bring To The Table
  • Good people and interpersonal skills.
  • Sound working knowledge of warehousing and distribution.

  • Ability to implement SOP's and inspire / demand ethical conduct.
  • Delegation skills.
  • Planning and work scheduling.
  • Ability to manage a team.
  • Understanding of stock management.

Qualification

Matric and relevant tertiary qualification in stock control / warehousing or studying toward TMA Qualification.

Experience

2 - 3 years' experience in warehousing and distribution environment. Computer Literacy. Identification of products as per product code. Stock Management experience.
