A leading recruitment agency is seeking a Warehouse / Boxing Supervisor in Cape Town. The ideal candidate will oversee receiving and dispatch operations, manage stock levels, and implement process improvements within a fresh meat production environment. A Bachelor's degree or relevant certifications is preferred, alongside strong analytical skills and experience in logistics. This role offers a combination of office and factory environments.
Hire Resolve's client, a group of companies that offer the very best in wholesale, fresh meat and deli production is searching for a Warehouse / Boxing Supervisor to join their team in Elsies River, Cape Town.
Coordinate receiving of goods, ensuring verification against purchase orders and adherence to company standards
Maintain proper stock rotation (FIFO and FEFO) to ensure freshness and reduce waste
Supervise storage to optimize space and uphold organizational standards
Verify and submit documentation for received goods to relevant departments
Oversee preparation and loading of products according to customer orders
Ensure proper packing standards and hygiene compliance during despatch
Address and resolve discrepancies in dispatch volumes with relevant departments
Monitor dispatch schedules to ensure timely deliveries and customer satisfaction
Conduct regular stock counts and resolve inventory discrepancies
Monitor and manage stock levels to ensure availability while avoiding overstock
Review and approve stock adjustments with accurate recordkeeping
Analyze stock movements to identify trends and improve inventory practices
Experience in identifying inefficiencies and recommending solutions
Knowledge of Lean or Six Sigma principles for optimizing workflows
Ability to implement process changes that enhance productivity and reduce waste
Strong analytical thinking to evaluate operational metrics and identify improvement areas
Bachelor's Degree or Diploma in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or related field
Relevant certifications such as Certified Supply Chain Professional (CSCP) or Certified in Production and Inventory Management (CPIM) are advantageous
Proven experience in warehouse management, logistics, or operations within the food manufacturing industry may substitute for formal education
Overtime may be required from time to time, based on operational needs

Combination of office and factory environments
Exposure to cold temperatures, long periods of standing, and physical activity
Reliable car required
Occasional travel to various Excellent Meat sites and client visits
On-call duties may be required occasionally, depending on operational needs
