A logistics management company is seeking a motivated Supply Chain Shift Supervisor to oversee warehouse and logistics operations. The person in this role will manage a team, ensure smooth shift operations, maintain accurate stock levels, and uphold safety and quality standards. You'll play a key role in keeping the flow of goods efficient and on schedule.
Supervise all shift activities including receiving, storing, picking, packing, dispatching, and returns.
Plan and coordinate team workloads, ensuring resources and equipment are used efficiently.
Monitor shift performance and ensure all work is completed safely, accurately, and on time.
Oversee product quality, correct labelling, and dispatch accuracy.
Manage handovers and communicate key updates between shifts.
Maintain up‑to‑date and accurate inventory records.
Conduct cycle counts, spot checks, and assist with monthly stocktakes.
Investigate and resolve stock variances or discrepancies.
Identify and report slow‑moving or damaged stock.
Ensure all stock transactions are properly recorded in the system.
Lead and motivate team members to meet performance targets.
Manage attendance, leave, and disciplinary issues in line with company policy.
Support new staff with training and ensure compliance with safety rules and procedures.
Encourage teamwork and build a positive, accountable work culture.
Prepare daily shift reports on output, productivity, and issues.
Track and update key operational metrics.
Report equipment faults, safety concerns, or process inefficiencies to management.
Ensure accurate completion and sign‑off of shift paperwork.
Maintain a safe, clean, and organised working environment.
Enforce company health and safety standards and address unsafe practices immediately.
Conduct routine safety checks and report any incidents or near misses.
Ensure all warehouse activities follow legal and company requirements.
Identify ways to improve efficiency and reduce waste or downtime.
Support small improvement projects and assist in developing better work processes.
Share ideas for improving workflow, accuracy, and team performance.
