Job summary

Candidates must have at least 3-5 years of waitering experience in a luxury environment, a grade 12 education, and strong communication skills. Core Criteria
  • Must have grade 12, a relevant hospitality qualification would be beneficial
  • At least 3 - 5 years of waitering experience in a luxury environment
  • Basic knowledge of wine and the surrounding wine region
  • Basic math skills, hands‑on cash register experience, and knowledge on ordering information systems
  • Must be well‑presented with an enthusiastic personality
  • Flexible, accountable individual with excellent interpersonal skills
Responsibilities
  • Ensure table setup: linen, silverware, glasses
  • Greet guests at their assigned tables, ensuring they have food and wine menus
  • Must know all menu items, ingredients used and preparation methods
  • Accurately take orders using POS system, and deliver within time limits
  • Make sure the kitchen & bar have received the orders
  • Clearing of dirty cutlery and crockery when guests are done with them
  • Upsell by offering coffees and desserts
  • Make sure the restaurant is clean and hygienic
  • Uniform must always be clean
