Responsibilities
  • Ensure that all wadding received is stored well and that wadding before issuance is neatly dressed and free of quality defects.
  • Conduct daily counts to ensure that the wadding in the store is aligned with SAP.
  • Collect and issue wadding using either clamp or prong truck.
  • Process all issued wadding rolls on SAP and verify with scale log sheet and MES.
  • Remove all NCR wadding rolls from the converting floor after all documentation has been received.
  • Maintain good safety, housekeeping, storage and stacking standards in the wadding store.
  • Understand the process of capturing wadding issued on the system and capturing the returned wadding on SAP, including NCRs.
  • Daily neat dressing of wadding rolls before issuing.
  • Support in conducting daily cycle counts on all wadding items with movements, investigate discrepancies and correct as necessary.
  • Ensure that all wadding rolls are stacked in accordance with the FIFO process.
  • Keep the wadding store ready for stock count.
  • Participate in monthly and quarterly counts.
  • Cover wadding drivers as needed.
  • Act as stand‑in for the inventory controller in absence.
  • Load wadding trucks as required.

Qualifications
  • Grade 12 with a minimum of one year’s experience in wadding stores.
  • Experience with wadding collection and issuing using either prong truck or clamp truck.
  • Experience stacking wadding using a 7‑ton clamp.
  • One‑year valid license for clamp and prong trucks.
