About the Role

Our client, a dynamic and fashion-forward retail brand, is seeking a creative and detail-oriented Visual Merchandiser to join their team on a contract basis, serving the Mossel Bay, Western Cape area. This role is pivotal in creating visually appealing and engaging store environments that drive customer traffic and enhance brand perception. You will be responsible for designing and implementing captivating window displays, in-store layouts, and product presentations that align with the brand's aesthetic and marketing campaigns. Key Responsibilities

• Conceptualize and execute compelling visual merchandising displays, including window presentations, in-store layouts, and promotional setups.
• Collaborate with marketing and retail teams to develop and implement seasonal and campaign-specific visual strategies.
• Ensure all visual merchandising adheres to brand guidelines, aesthetic standards, and presentation excellence in Mossel Bay, Western Cape .
• Create detailed plans and mock-ups for visual displays, including floor plans and fixture placements.
• Source and manage props, fixtures, and materials required for visual displays.
• Train and guide store staff on visual merchandising standards and execution.
• Stay abreast of current retail design trends, competitor activities, and visual merchandising innovations.
• Contribute creative ideas to enhance the overall customer shopping experience through visual storytelling.
• Ensure timely and efficient implementation of visual merchandising plans across designated store locations.
• Maintain a high standard of presentation and brand consistency.

Requirements

• Proven experience as a Visual Merchandiser or in a similar creative retail display role.
• A strong portfolio showcasing creative visual merchandising concepts and executions.
• Excellent understanding of design principles, color theory, and spatial planning.
• Proficiency in design software such as Adobe Creative Suite is highly desirable.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively.
• Ability to interpret brand aesthetics and translate them into compelling visual narratives.
• Experience with fixture selection, prop sourcing, and display construction.
• Ability to work independently, manage multiple projects, and meet deadlines in the Mossel Bay, Western Cape region.
• Flexibility to travel to various store locations as needed.
• A degree or diploma in Visual Arts, Graphic Design, Interior Design, or a related field is preferred.
