We're seeking a detail-oriented Virtual Construction Bookkeeper to join our remote team.

You’ll ensure accuracy in our financial records, support leadership with timely reports, and help keep projects on track.

Key Responsibilities

Maintain complete and accurate financial records for day-to-day transactions including expenses, invoices, receipts, and payroll.

Reconcile bank statements and credit card accounts weekly, investigating and resolving any discrepancies within three business days.

Prepare and deliver monthly financial reports (P&L, balance sheet, and cash flow) by the 5th business day each month, providing leadership with clear visibility into performance.

Manage accounts payable and receivable—processing vendor bills, sending client invoices, and tracking outstanding balances.

Support tax preparation by organizing documentation, categorizing expenses, and ensuring readiness for quarterly and annual filings.

Implement and maintain efficient bookkeeping systems and tools (QuickBooks, Xero, or equivalent), streamlining workflows for accuracy and consistency.

Assist with budgeting and forecasting by compiling data, identifying variances, and presenting actionable recommendations to leadership.

Qualifications

Minimum of 2 years’ bookkeeping or accounting experience within the construction industry.

Proficiency with QuickBooks, Xero, or comparable accounting software.

Solid understanding of accounting principles, payroll, and tax compliance.

Exceptional attention to detail, organization, and follow-through.

Ability to work independently in a remote setting while meeting tight deadlines.

Clear and professional communication skills for collaborating with leadership, vendors, and accountants.
