Job summary

Placements24 is seeking a Vineyard and Winery Operations Coordinator in Stellenbosch. You will support daily vineyard and winery tasks, manage inventories, and assist viticulture and winemaking teams to ensure smooth operations from grape to bottle.

Ideal candidates are organized, detail-oriented, with strong communication skills and a passion for wine. The role involves hands-on work in a fast-paced agricultural setting with opportunities for growth and development.

Qualifications

• Experience in operations coordination, logistics or a related administrative role.
• Strong organizational skills and meticulous attention to detail in record-keeping and task management.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with ability to work collaboratively.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite; willingness to learn new software systems.
• A genuine interest in viticulture and winemaking is advantageous.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate daily operational tasks within the vineyard and winery, ensuring production schedules and quality standards.
• Assist in managing inventory of grape supplies, winemaking materials, and finished products with accurate records.
• Support viticulturist and winemaker with vineyard activities including irrigation, pest control and harvesting.
• Facilitate communication between teams to ensure efficient workflow and timely task completion.
• Maintain detailed operational logs, production data, laboratory results and compliance documentation.
• Assist in organizing winery tours and tastings for visitors.
