Job summary

A cruise line entertainment company is seeking a Video Technician to operate and maintain all video equipment on board. The ideal candidate will have at least 2 years of experience in a live entertainment setting and extensive knowledge of video equipment and editing software. Responsibilities include setting up and testing equipment, troubleshooting technical issues, and collaborating with performers. Flexibility to work non-standard hours is required.

Operate and maintain all video equipment on board, including cameras, projectors, and editing software

Troubleshoot technical issues and provide quick and efficient solutions

Collaborate with other technicians and performers to ensure smooth and seamless production

Maintain a high level of quality control for all video content, ensuring it meets company standards and guest expectations

Manage video inventory and ensure all equipment is properly stored and maintained

Assist with the creation and editing of promotional videos and other marketing materials

Stay up-to-date with industry trends and advancements in video technology

Adhere to all safety regulations and protocols while operating equipment and working in various performance spaces on board the ship

Provide excellent customer service to guests and promptly address any concerns or inquiries related to video equipment or content

Qualifications:

Minimum of 2 years experience as a Video Technician, preferably in a live entertainment setting

Extensive knowledge of various video equipment and software, including cameras, projectors, and editing programs

Strong technical skills and the ability to troubleshoot and resolve technical issues quickly and efficiently

Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work well in a team setting

Attention to detail and a commitment to delivering high-quality video content

Ability to work in a fast-paced and constantly changing environment

Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed

Must be able to pass a background check and obtain necessary certifications for working on board a cruise ship
