Location : Cape Town

Working Practices : Hybrid | Mondays and Thursday in office and remaining days remote

  • H30 SASTJob Summary : Our video editors work closely with our amazing learning design team and video producers to create visually compelling learning videos.

These range from standard piece-to-camera and interview videos to creative narrative edits and marketing content.

Think engaging, beautiful content and not your standard lecture video.

Key Responsibilities : Edit video and audio content according to brief, ensuring creative and high-quality outputs. Facilitate reviews of work, gather and implement feedback effectively. Maintain and update progress across platforms (Trello, Slack, Kantata, etc.).

Attend team and project meetings as required. Provide creative input and a learning-focused perspective in your edits.

What does success look like? Videos consistently meet brand, creative, and pedagogical standards. Feedback loops are efficient, with revisions reduced over time. Projects are delivered on schedule with proactive communication about progress and blockers. Content resonates with learners and enhances engagement and knowledge retention. The editor is seen as a collaborative, creative partner by producers, designers, and stakeholders.

RequirementsExperience and QualificationsMid‑Senior level video editor with 3+ years of professional editing experience. Experience in EdTech or related industries preferred. Strong proficiency with Adobe Creative Cloud Suite (Premiere Pro, After Effects, Audition, Photoshop).

Skills and CompetenciesExcellent storytelling and visual communication skills. Strong sense of pacing, rhythm, and design aesthetics. Ability to balance creativity with meeting instructional / learning objectives. Organized, with strong attention to detail and ability to manage multiple projects. Effective communicator and collaborator across functions and time zones. Ability to work independently while being responsive in a fast‑paced, remote‑first environment. Growth mindset with openness to feedback, experimentation, and innovation in editing practices.
