We're looking for a friendly, organised and animal-lovingFront Shop Assistantto be the face of our veterinary practice.

This role is perfect for someone who enjoys working with people and pets, thrives in a busy environment, and pays close attention to detail.

You'll be the first point of contact for our clients—whether they're picking up pet food, booking appointments, or needing advice on products.

Key Responsibilities :

• Greet and assist clients in a warm, professional manner
• Handle retail sales of pet food, pet care products, and accessories
• Maintain a clean, well-stocked and visually appealing front shop area
• Process payments (cash / card), handle returns, and issue receipts
• Provide basic product knowledge to help clients choose suitable items
• Answer incoming phone calls and assist with queries or redirect as needed
• Assist with booking appointments and managing the reception area when required
• Monitor stock levels and assist with stocktakes and ordering
• Support the clinical team with general admin and customer service tasks
• Ensure the shop area meets hygiene and safety standards

Requirements :

• Previous retail or front-desk experience (ideally in a veterinary or pet care environment)
